Corteva Agriscience Drops FeXapan Herbicide

If FeXapan herbicide was part of your plans for treating dicamba-tolerant cotton and soybeans this year, you’ll need to find another option.

Corteva Agriscience recently announced that it is discontinuing sales of FeXapan in the U.S. and Canada and will instead shift its resources and focus to support the Enlist weed control system.

FeXapan was one of four dicamba formulations for dicamba-tolerant cotton and soybeans. BASF’s Engenia, Bayer’s XtendiMax With VaporGrip Technology, and Syngenta’s Tavium Plus VaporGrip Technology are now the only registered dicamba formulations on the market.

Corteva released a statement explaining its decision, noting, “We continue to see strong demand and broad adoption of Enlist technology for seed and Enlist herbicide crop protection solutions. This decision allows Corteva to focus customer and applicator training, sales, and distribution resources on our leading Enlist weed control system.”

The Corteva commercial team said it will continue to support customers who have purchased Roundup Ready 2 Xtend dicamba-tolerant soybean varieties from a Corteva seed brand, allowing use of other registered dicamba herbicides on those crops. The company’s PhytoGen brand cottonseed contains only the Enlist technology.
