Cotton prices shot higher this week, bulled ahead by USDA’s January supply demand report and a very strong export sales report.
USDA’s first WASDE report for 2022 shows increased domestic consumption and lower cotton production, exports, and ending stocks for the U.S., while world numbers show relatively small changes in global production, consumption, and trade.
Entering 2022, cotton enjoys a long list of fundamentals to support the bullish side of the price equation.
