Crop Progress Notes for Cotton – November 18

According to USDA’s November 18 Crop Progress report, 68% of the U.S. cotton crop has now been harvested.

According to USDA’s Crop Progress report for the week ending November 17, 68% of the U.S. cotton crop has now been harvested.

The updated number represents a 6% increase in the past week and is still 2% ahead of the 5-year average for harvest at this date.

All cotton-producing states continued to show percentage harvest increases over the past seven days, with the biggest jumps coming in Kansas (18%); Arizona, California and Missouri (all 15%); Virginia (12%); North Carolina (11%) and Oklahoma (10%). In all, nine states continue to outpace their respective 5-year averages.
