Americot Expands Customer Support and Operations Team

Americot has added seven new customer sales and operations team members in the Southeast and Southwest.

Whitney Bell, Charlcey Plummer and Derrel Johnson are new sales representatives for the Northern Plains region.

An Oklahoma native, Bell holds degrees in animal science and agribusiness from Oklahoma State University and has worked as a sales agronomist with Heiden Brothers Agra Service. She will be based in Vernon, TX.

Plummer joins Americot after six years as a territory manager for Corteva Agriscience in South Texas and Oklahoma. A graduate of Oklahoma State University, she will be based in Tuttle, OK.

Johnson brings four decades of experience in cotton and ginning to Americot. He will be based in Silverton, TX.

Bo Mathis joins Americot as a sales representative in the Southeast region, following seven years in sales for PhytoGen. A graduate of the University of Georgia, he will be based in Tifton, GA.

Doug Pustejovsky is a new sales representative for the Central/South Texas region, following 20 years as an agronomist and sales manager for Monsanto. Based in Abbott, TX, he holds BS and MS degrees in entomology from Texas A&M University.

Ricky Backus is the new sales representative for the High Plains region. A Texas Tech graduate, he most recently served as a district sales manager for Winfield United. He will be based in Nazareth, TX.

Russell Fritsch joins Americot as the company’s greenhouse manager, based in Lubbock, TX. A graduate of Texas Tech, he has more than 20 years of experience in cotton, soybean and sorghum trait research, as well as ornamental chemical applications.

“Whitney, Charlcey, Derrel, Bo, Doug, Ricky and Russell will support Americot’s continued growth in these key regions,” said Chiree Fields, Americot general manager. “We’ll continue to add experienced and talented team members where needed, honoring our commitment to cotton growers throughout the Cotton Belt.”
