Americot Expands Research and Sales Teams

Americot, Inc., a leading supplier of premium cottonseed, has added six new team members to the company’s research and sales staffs.

New sales representatives are Cade Holliday, Southeast Region; Chase Samples, Research & Breeding, Deakin Stokes, South Plains Region, Jarrod David, Northern Plains Region, Joel Webb and Victoria Orman, Rolling Plains Region. Chase Samples joins the company as a research and germplasm specialist.

“Adding to our research and breeding capabilities, as well as continued expansion to our customer service team is yet another example of Americot’s commitment to our customers and their needs throughout the Cotton Belt,” said Chiree Fields, Americot general manager. “We are extremely fortunate to have these additional highly-talented ag professionals join our team.”

Cade Holliday joins Americot following three years in sales with Bayer Crop Science in eastern North Carolina. Based in Raleigh, NC, he also brings experience as a crop consultant in the Carolinas and in sourcing and distribution for a start-up produce company. Holliday earned a B.S. in Ag Food and Resource Economics from the University of Florida in 2009, and an MBA in 2011 from Marshall University.

As a Research and Germplasm Specialist, Chase Samples will be working closely with the Americot research team across the Cotton Belt, as well as supporting the Mid-South sales team. A Mississippi native, he earned a B.S. in Ag Engineering Technology with a concentration in Precision Agriculture from the University of Tennessee at Martin, and his M.S. in Agronomy with a minor in Entomology from Mississippi State University. Samples is currently completing his Ph.D. in Agronomy, under Dr. Darrin Dodds at Mississippi State.

Deakin Stokes joins Americot as a sales representative, serving growers and customers in the South Plains Region. A 2017 graduate of Angelo State University, he grew up farming with his father in the Dawson County area, as well as the surrounding counties of Martin and Lynn. Stokes will be based in Lubbock, TX.

Based in Vernon, TX, Jarrod David joins Americot’s Northern Plains team as a sales representative, serving customers and growers in the northern Texas High Plains and into Oklahoma. He earned a B.S. in Agricultural and Consumer Sciences from Tarleton State University in 2014.

Joel Webb joins Americot’s Rolling Plains Region as a sales representative. He previously served as the Texas A&M AgriLife Extension integrated pest management agent for Runnels, Tom Green, and Concho Counties, and earlier worked as a research associate for the Weed Science and Cropping Systems department at Texas A&M AgriLife Research. He will be based in San Angelo, TX.

Victoria Orman joins Americot from Sanders, where she was the location operations manager in Roscoe, TX. She will work as a sales representative in the Rolling Plains Region.
