Focus on Cotton Series Adds Sulfur Fertilization Webcast

A new webcast to help identify and address sulfur deficiencies that could impact cotton growth and development has been added to the Focus on Cotton online series from the Plant Management Network and Cotton Incorporated.

The webcast – titled “Sulfur Fertilization of Cotton” – features a 13-minute talk by Syam K. Dodla, assistant professor of Soil Fertility and Crop Irrigation at Louisiana State University. The discussion provides information to help growers, consultants and other industry experts to analyze soil for deficiencies, identify sulfur deficiency symptoms in cotton plants, apply recommended amounts of sulfur across various areas of the Cotton Belt, understand sulfur’s effect on yield, and see the many options for sulfur fertilizer.
