Georgia Cotton Industry Voices Opposition to Federal Water Rule

The Georgia Cotton Commission has joined other state agricultural leaders and organizations in voicing opposition to a new federal water rule that could mean new compliance standards for growers and potentially impact all aspects of Georgia agriculture.

The rule, implemented by the Environmental Protection Agency and the U.S. Corps of Engineers, is intended to enhance water quality. It went into effect April 3.
