Healthy Soils for Sustainable Cotton Field Days Set for July, August

Four Healthy Soils for Sustainable Cotton field days organized by the Soil Health Institute to help increase awareness of soil health on U.S. cotton farms are being conducted in July and August in the Southeast and Mid-South.

Each event includes demonstrations and discussions of soil health practices for building drought resilience, enhancing nutrient availability, reducing erosion, and designing a soil health management system to meet consumer demand for sustainable cotton. Discussions will be led by farmers who are successfully employing soil health systems, along with extension and USDA-NRCS specialists, and the lead trainer of the Soil Health Institute.
