Pryor will succeed Interim CEO Phil Burnett, who returned to lead the company for a brief period following Kevin Brinkley’s move to President and CEO of Plains Cotton Cooperative Association. Burnett will continue to serve as a board member and consultant for the company.

Pryor – who is returning to The Seam after serving as Global Head of IT, Cotton for Noble Agri – was responsible for the development of The Seam’s technology from the beginning of the company in 2000 through 2011. As Vice President, Information Technology, he directed the design, implementation and development of the company’s global platforms for commodity trading, food trading, commodity loan management, and contract management.

“The entire Board of Directors is pleased to welcome Mark back to The Seam in this important role,” said Doug Christie, president of Cargill Cotton and a board member of The Seam. “He is uniquely qualified to lead the company in pursuit of growth opportunities in its core cotton business, as well as other areas.”
