National Cotton Council Delegates Gathering to Set Industry Policy

Delegates to the National Cotton Council’s (NCC) upcoming annual meeting will review and approve resolutions to help U.S. cotton’s central organization guide the U.S. cotton industry in the coming year.

During the meeting – set for Feb. 16-18 at the Hyatt Regency in Orlando, FL – industry representatives from the 17 cotton-producing states and all seven industry segments will establish policies reflecting common interests and promoting mutual benefits for its broad membership and related industries.

As the unifying force of the U.S. cotton industry, the NCC has a mission of ensuring the ability of all industry segments to compete effectively and profitability in the raw cotton, oilseed, and U.S.-manufactured product markets at home and abroad.

Highlights of the three-day meeting include:

  • Meetings of the American Cotton Producers and the National Cotton Ginners Association on Feb. 16.
  • Current affairs insights from Jake Sherman – a reporter, news media innovator, and political contributor to MSNBC and NBC News – during a luncheon on Feb. 17.
  • The General Session on Feb. 18, including a report on major NCC activities and issues facing the cotton industry in 2024 from NCC Chairman Shawn Holladay, and the NCC’s annual Economic Outlook and 2024 planting intentions survey results from Dr. Jody Campiche, NCC Vice President of Economics & Policy Analysis.
