Two Arrested in Texas Cotton Bales Vandalism

According to local news reports, two men have been arrested in San Patricio County, Texas in conjunction with a recent vandalism case involving cotton bales.

Sheriff Oscar Rivera said both suspects were arrested in Taft, TX by San Patricio County investigators and are in custody at the county jail. Both are charged with felony criminal mischief.

Earlier this month, a number of newly-harvested cotton bales were found slashed open in the field, resulting in an estimated $50,000 in damages for the farmers involved.

Investigators used surveillance video to track down the suspects. No reward money was used.
