Crop Progress: Total Focus on Harvest

With three weeks of Crop Progress reports remaining, the emphasis shifts completely to harvest…making this commentary short and sweet.

For the week ending Nov. 6, the USDA Crop Progress report now shows that 62% of the U.S. cotton crop has been harvested. That’s up 7 percentage points in the past week, as well as 7 percentage points ahead of the 5-year average for early November. Growers have been taking advantage of favorable harvest conditions across the Mid-South and Southeast.
