Delta Plastics Launches First Program That Pays for Used Polytube

Delta Plastics is the leading manufacturer and supplier of irrigation polytube for the agriculture industry and one of the leading brands of Revolution, a leader in sustainable loop plastics.

Push for Pick Up is a proprietary geolocation technology developed by Revolution and Delta and launched as a user-friendly collections app for polytube in the spring of 2021. The app is available for both iOS and Android mobile devices. Building off the existing technology, the companies are expanding the app to include the ability to track and pay farmers based on the amount of plastic material collected.

The Push for Pick Up program is currently available in Arkansas, Louisiana, Mississippi, Missouri, and parts of Texas.

To get started, clients download the free Push for Pick Up app, log in and drop a pin to let Delta’s collections team know where used polytube is located. Using their fleet of trucks, the Delta collections team then picks up the used pipe in a fast, safe, and efficient manner, and the farmer will receive a credit in their Push for Pick Up account that can be redeemed at the local dealer of their choice.

Delta was among the first companies in the region to provide farmers with a solution to help clean up farms through polytube collection, dating back over two decades. As the use of the necessary and complimentary service has grown, Delta has continued to expand its fleet and service areas.

Delta Plastics is renowned for its longstanding history of serving farming communities and working to protect the viability of local farmers and farmlands, while also leading the agriculture industry with innovative tools and technology. Prior to the Push for Pick Up app, Delta partnered with leading government and non-profit groups to develop the proprietary Pipe Planner software, which provides improved efficiency for irrigation, increased savings, reduced water waste, and accurate planning of polytube placement to increase the farmer’s return on investment.

Revolution and Delta launched an improved, fourth generation of Pipe Planner in 2021 and plan to continue developing their suite of technology tools to further support the companies’ commitment to sustainable solutions for farmers.
