LaCour to Lead National Cotton Ginners Association in 2022

George LaCour of Morganza, LA, was elected 2022 president of the National Cotton Ginners Association (NCGA) during its recent annual meeting in Houston, TX.

Elected with LaCour as 2022 officers were:

  • First Vice President – Gene Seale, Pima, AZ
  • Second Vice President – Richard Lindsey, Centre, AL
  • Third Vice President – Larry Black, Roscoe, TX

Curtis Stewart of Spade, TX, who served as NCGA president in 2020 and 2021, will serve as NCGA chairman. Harrison Ashley of Cordova, TN, is NCGA’s executive vice president.

LaCour is a founding board member and current vice president of Tri-Parish Gin, a producer-owned ginning and whole-seed marketing operation in Lettsworth, LA. He also is general manager of the farming partnership GNG Farms in Morganza, where he oversees production on 5,000 acres in Pointe Coupee Parish.

LaCour is also a graduate of the National Cotton Council (NCC) Cotton Leadership Program, the Louisiana State Agricultural Leadership Program, and the Texas A&M Executive Program for Agricultural Producers.

LaCour is a past president of the Southern Cotton Ginners Association and was honored as that organization’s Ginner of the Year in 2016. He has also served in multiple NCGA and NCC leadership positions including NCC director and a director of Cotton Council International. He was Cotton Board chairman in 2017.
