Loftness Adds Specialized Cotton Knives to Its Crop Shredder Line

Loftness Specialized Equipment is adding a cotton knife option for its line of 12- to 30-foot-wide crop shredders.
These hard-surfaced knives provide an ideal option for managing cotton stalks after harvest.
The Loftness line of crop shredders has long been known for reliability thanks to features such as heavy-duty steel construction and a field-proven gearbox rated for 280 horsepower. The durability helps the units withstand the abuse of shredding tough cotton stalks.
Several rear lift options including ratcheting systems and hydraulic cylinders are available for precise height control, allowing farmers to maintain a low cutting height. The crop shredders are powered by a 1,000-RPM PTO and are equipped with belt drives for efficient transfer of power. They can be configured as pull-type, semi-mounted or fully mounted models and are available with a variety of wheel and tire options.
Other knife options are also offered for different crop residue types.
