Cotton Variety Test Comparisons Now Available Online
April 8, 2015 Cotton Incorporated and Cooperative Extension cotton specialists have partnered with SeedMatrix to make cotton variety yield test comparisons easily accessible to producers from their computer, smartphone or tablet.
SeedMatrix allows producers to compare results from local field trials when making their final seed variety decision. The program uses data from variety tests in large plot, replicated trials from across the Cotton Belt to provide real-time, in-field use, and allows producers to compare results based on plot location, yield, turnout, soil type, water use and quality.
This online application – developed by Dale Logan at PLAN, Inc. – is available to producers at no cost through funding from the Cotton Research and Promotion Program.
